This boutique hotel is a gem hidden in a historic stone building. The rooms may not be huge, but they're tastefully decorated and cozy. The staff is attentive and goes out of their way to make your stay memorable. I loved the little extras like tea and coffee in the Library and the continental breakfast in the conservatory. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the city center and close to the Botanical Gardens.
Everything was just fine, no complaints at all.

This hotel is an absolute gem. The old university building has been beautifully restored after the earthquakes. The design and decor are stunning, with luxurious touches like William Morris fabric headboards. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location next to the Botanical Gardens is perfect for a romantic evening stroll. The bathroom is amazing and the bed is super comfortable. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
Felt happy, nothing too much trouble.
